If you are interested in working in Quebec while taking professional or technical training, you can study at one of our partner schools (colleges, cégeps, CFPs and private post-secondary institutions).

Academic courses in Quebec City

These short-term programs (2 semesters) are designed to give you quick and direct access to the labor market. This is a specialized training derived from a technical program, but without the general education courses.

Therefore, such programs do not allow you to continue your education at university level. Here are some of the AECs offered by our school through our pathway programs:

Price Range

Between $4,500 CAD and $9,000 CAD per session

Divided in 6 semesters (3 years), these programs train you for a specific job, depending on the technique chosen, while allowing you to continue your education at the university level in accordance with the Quebec education system.

In addition to the program specific courses, general education courses are also provided to give you the prerequisites needed to enter university. Here are some of the DCSs offered by our school through our pathway programs:

Price Range

Between $6,500 CAD and $11,000 CAD per session

The Diploma of Vocational Studies, or DVS, is a diploma that is issued by the government. A DVS certifies that a student has successfully completed a secondary-level vocational program for a trade or occupation.

The length of a DVS program varies between 6 to 18 months (600 to 1800 hours), depending on the program. A student who has successfully completed a DVS program can also choose to pursue studies in an Attestation of Vocational Specialization, AVS, (if available) or a CEGEP program of their choice, if they have the necessary prerequisites.

Programs leading to a DVS are developed by the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec and are updated on a regular basis to keep up with the evolution of the job market. Here are some of the DEPs offered by our school through our pathway programs:
