TEF/TEFAQ Exam - How to Register

Registration for the TEF/TEFAQ exam

HOW TO REGISTER?

  1. Registration must be made at least 1 week in advance.
  2. Make sure you have checked the test and exams you need to take.
  3. Payment is required at the time of online registration. Once your payment is received, you will be officially registered for your exam.
  4. Our TEF-TEFAQ manager will process your request and then send you a registration confirmation email within approximately 72 hours.
  5. Three (3) days before the scheduled date of your exam, an official invitation will be sent to you by email with the precise timetable for each test. Exam days take place between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and tests are organized in the order of requests received. When planning the schedule, we always try to ensure that there is little or no waiting time between your tests.

Mandatory documents during the exam day

  • Valid passport (or two valid official photo IDs)
  • Your official invitation sent by email by Edu-inter 3 days before your exam (the electronic version on your cell phone is sufficient)
  • A pair of wired headphones (only if you are registered for the oral comprehension test)

ABSENCE AND CANCELLATION

Please note that currently all TEF sessions are closed 1 week before the test dates.

Cancellation is only authorized by the CCIP in the event of serious illness on the day of the test, or in the event of travel on the date of the test. We must submit a cancellation or postponement request to the CCIP with supporting documentation (medical certificate or travel confirmation).

Cancellation fees are $120 if it is one or 2 events, and $160 for 3 or 4 events. If the CCIP does not authorize your cancellation, no refund will be possible.

The TEF Canada and TEFAQ exams are taken in person at 871, Grande Allée Ouest, bureau 50, Québec (QC), G1S 1C1.

Please follow the registration procedure mentioned above. No payment and no registration is made in person at the exam center.
