About Intensive Basic French Learning
Are you interested in learning French or advancing your basic conversational language skills? With 7 different levels ranging from beginner to advanced, this full-time intensive French immersion program will help you develop or perfect your ability to read, write, speak, and understand French through daily classes and conversation workshops.
This program is perfect for those who want to improve their basic conversational skills and use them through a cultural experience in Quebec City.

Program Features
- 15 hours of Standard French classes per week
- 7.5 hours of French conversation workshops per week (10 hours per week during summer session)
- 7 levels of basic instruction from beginner to advanced, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
- Flexible start dates and program duration
- Our classrooms have between 5 to 15 students
- Many optional activities during the week and excursions on weekends
- Homestay, residence or furnished apartment accommodation options
Daily Schedule (Monday to Friday)
8:30 am – 11:30 am Core French
12:00 pm – 1:30 pm Conversation Workshop
Requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age at the start of the program
- Foreign students must meet Canadian visa requirements
- Foreign students must have travel and health insurance for the duration of the program

You can start on any Monday of the year!*
* If a holiday falls on a Monday, the course will start on the Tuesday.

Location and Facilities

The Intensive French program is a 22.5-hour per week language immersion course (25 hours per week during the summer session) that follows international standards and focuses on developing reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension in French for students of all levels and abilities.
The content of this course will help you prepare for recognized exams such as the TEF, TEFAQ, DELF, DALF, and TCF. Spend your mornings taking comprehensive French learning classes, and in the afternoon, develop your oral fluency through conversation workshops, discussing themes related to culture, current events, literature, cinema or music.
