Testimonies

This school is absolutely fantastic. From helpful staff to highly qualified and naturally talented professors. If you are lucky enough, there will also be amazing students along with you. If you are not that lucky, I’m pretty sure you’ll make friends anyway, as Edu inter always organizes activities with the students.

Rodrigo Sakai - Spain

Edu inter is a great school that gives you the opportunity to learn French and get to know how wonderful Quebec is with excellent teachers, classrooms and facilities. I highly recommend it. I only arrived in Quebec for 6 months without speaking and now I can speak it very well. !!.

Andres Torres - Colombia

I spent two weeks at Edu-inter trying to revive my very rusty French. I selected the volunteer program as well as the home stay option. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and definitely improved my skills. The staff did an excellent job placing me in the appropriate class level and everyone was warm and welcoming. The instruction was professional and engaging. My home stay could not have been better. My hostess was affable and hospitable and I enjoyed having the opportunity to speak French while we shared meals. I stayed within a thirty minute walk of the school and thoroughly enjoyed my morning and afternoon walks through the beautiful Quebec neighborhoods. My only regret is that I could not stay longer.

Details

The French & Volunteering program consists of the basic Core French course that focuses on developing reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension in French for students of all levels and abilities. Additionally, through partnerships with a wide variety of non-profit organizations in Quebec City, you can choose your volunteer project based on your personal interests and availability.

Some examples of volunteer projects are:

Volunteering in a retirement home (medium to high level of French): entertain retirees by reading to them, playing games, walking with them, or simply conversing. You can also serve food or help with administrative tasks.

Volunteering in local community centres (medium to high level of French): organize and participate in fairs and festivals, fundraisers, or interact with the neighbourhood children.

Volunteering in a homeless shelter (low to medium level of French): prepare the food counter for meal time, serve dinner, or help with the management and distribution of used clothing.
